Amit Jain, an internationally recognized spinal deformity surgeon specializing in pediatric scoliosis and adult degenerative spinal disorders, is a professor of orthopaedic surgery and neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a professor of business at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He concurrently serves as the vice president of care transformation and medical director of value-based care for the Johns Hopkins Health System, leading enterprise care redesign across six hospitals and ambulatory sites.  A master clinician and scholar, Dr. Jain is an inductee of the Miller Coulson Academy of Clinical Excellence and is ranked among the top 1% of spine researchers globally. He has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications, holds multiple National Institutes of Health grants and leads global consortia advancing spinal surgery outcomes.  Beyond clinical practice and research, Dr. Jain is a healthcare executive and educator dedicated to mentorship and policy reform. He served as president of the Maryland Orthopaedic Association (2025–2026), was honored as an American Orthopaedic Association North American and ABC Traveling Fellow, and was named a 2026 U.S. Presidential Leadership Scholar. He also directs the Johns Hopkins Spine Surgery Fellowship, mentoring the next generation of academic orthopaedic leaders.
